​Alana Monteiro is an internationally recognized supermodel ranked among the top 50 models social on models.com. She also appears on the top 100 black female models list, alongside icons such as Naomi Campbell and Tyra Banks. Born and raised in New Bedford, Massachusetts, Alana began her modeling career at just 18 years old, choosing to pursue her passion in New York City immediately after high school. She quickly found success, signing with top agencies including Wilhelmina Models and Next Model Management, and expanding her representation across Europe in London, Denmark, and Germany. Her work spans over 30 editorials and magazine covers, appearing in global publications such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, Marie Claire, L’Officiel, Numéro, Glamour, and Grazia. She has worked with elite beauty brands like CoverGirl, L'Oréal Paris, MAC Cosmetics, Revlon, Clinique, Bobbi Brown, and NARS, and appeared in campaigns for Nike, Puma, Gap, Macy’s, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and more. Her images have been featured worldwide — including on billboards in Times Square, New York City.

Alana has also graced the runways of New York Fashion Week and Miami Swim Week, walking for designers such as Rebecca Minkoff, Diane von Furstenberg, and Vivienne Hu. Her editorial work has been recognized and shared by top fashion houses including Christian Siriano, Michael Kors, and Zuhair Murad. Beyond modeling, Alana is a multi-talented artist — a singer-songwriter, actress, and dancer — who continues to expand her creative footprint in entertainment.

 

                                                                           Early Life

Born and raised in New Bedford, Massachusetts, Alana’s passion for the arts began early. From a young age, she was immersed in music, dance, and theater, spending over 15 years studying and competing in dance — including hip-hop, tap, jazz, ballet, and contemporary. Hip-hop quickly became her strongest and favorite style, earning her numerous awards. Alana also loved singing and songwriting from an early age, writing her first lyrics around age nine and performing in theater and church productions. Her first major role was portraying Mary in a Christmas church play — the start of her lifelong love for performance.

 

                                                                               Acting

Alana rekindled her passion for acting after moving to New York City, training at prestigious schools such as Stella Adler and the New York Film Academy. She has since appeared in several major film and television projects, including Disney’s “Hocus Pocus 2”, Netflix’s “Someone Great”, and “Second Act” starring Jennifer Lopez and Vanessa Hudgens. She also appeared in “Good Burger 2” with Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell.

Her commercial work includes national commercials for Fanatics, anti–drunk driving initiatives, and major retail brands, showcasing her versatility both on camera and in print.

 

                                                                               Music

Alana is also a talented singer-songwriter who writes and performs her own music. She released her debut single, “High,” at age 24, earning widespread attention for her vocals and artistry. The song gained radio play, streaming success, and enthusiastic fan response, proving her creative versatility. Her other popular singles include “Ghosting” and “If the Roles Were Reversed,” accompanied by striking visuals and music videos.

 

                                                                          Philanthropy

Dedicated to giving back to her community, Alana founded the Alana Monteiro Modeling Camp in May 2025. The five-day workshop is designed to help aspiring models and actors gain hands-on industry experience, build confidence, and learn from professionals. Through her camp, Alana continues to empower the next generation of creative talent and inspire youth to pursue their dreams with confidence and purpose.
